Inspection and personnel management

After graduation, students will be qualified for the jobs of:

  • Ensures efficient and cost-effective inspection to maintain the reliability of the technical system,
  • Organizes technical system maintenance tasks with a preliminary analysis of required works, bids collected, taking into account the maintenance cost plan, the quality of the contractor and the time fund,
  • Controls and approves payment of services, supplies and spare parts provided, taking care of the plan and financial expenses, within its financial responsibility, performing daily account control, and ensuring timely flow of documentation,
  • Controls inventory / consumption of fuel, lubricants, inventory and supplies,
  • Participates in the implementation of an established HR (Human Resources)policy,
  • Participates in the process of determining the cause of the accident, supervises the elimination of damage, and prepares the necessary documentation for liquidation of damages,
  • Performs supervision of new construction in the shipyard, with preparation of necessary documentation,
  • Performs the supervision of the regular and extraordinary docking of ships, preparing the necessary documentation before the docking itself,
  • Submits written reports on the completed works and technical condition of the ship after each docking, and submits written reports on the technical state of the ship at the end of each semester, on the basis of which it plans expenses for the following year,
  • Maintains and controls monthly analyzes consisting of: Summary Lists of Defects especially decks and machine, Repair Specification, Request for Spare Parts, Request for Consumables, Lub Oil , Analyses, various inspections / audits, PSC, Flag, class, management, owner , Q&A, Inspections, Master’s review, QSE Team Meeting Report, etc.),
  • Keeps and controls on a monthly basis: supplies using logistic tools, spare parts using logistic tools, shipping certificates and documents,
  • Prepares regular ship and company audits to verify the quality system ISO 9001: 2008 (9001: 2015), ISM Code, ISPS Code, and ISO 14001: 2004,
  • Participates in internal and external judgments of implemented systems,
  • Coordinates the work of all inspectors on a technical basis, using ROD, RFSP, RFCS analyzes, observations from various inspections / reviews, etc.,
  • Coordinates and monitors the costs of all inspectors using the default budget,
  • Prepares and proposes to Fleet Managers circular messages, advisory messages and service messages,
  • Analyzes all requirements, remarks on ships, and suggests methods of work improvement,
  • Participates in the work of the crisis team in critical situations,
  • Controls EMS analyzes received from ships
  • Performs personnel operations,
  • Collaborates with the MIORH Fund, the Health Fund, dispensaries, the health center and other entities regarding the social and health care of seafarers and other employees,
  • Develops staff plans, required reports, work records, various analyzes, etc.,
  • Maintains a policy of proper staffing and scheduling,
  • Controls validity and expiry dates: certificates, certificates, authorizations,
  • Organizes training of seafarers,
  • Develops promotion and reward plans,
  • Develops a semi-annual and annual shift plan,
  • Plans for the organization of crew replacement on ships,
  • Analyzes and performs all tasks related to the procurement of supplies needed by employees,
  • Organizes technical tasks for the recruitment of new employees,
  • Supervises and monitors employees’ activity, behavior and commitment,
  • Updates accounts and estimates in the appropriate computer programs,
  • Organizes teamwork of work in the personnel operation,
  • Performs work valuation calculations,
  • Controls costs within the scope of work according to the flowchart and line of financial responsibility,
